Danhostel Rønde
Some of Denmark’s most beautiful sceneries, excellent, child-friendly bathing beaches, lots of cultural and historical sights and countless activities can be found on Djursland, the ‘nose’ on the east coast of Jutland. The market town of Rønde is centrally located at the gateway to tourism’s ‘eldorado’ at the head of Kalø bay, close to the ruins of Kalø castle and surrounded by magnificent scenery and forests. Danhostel Rønde youth hostel is located high above the town and its surroundings, enjoying a unique position and views. The beautifully located site was given to the town of Rønde in 1935 by Baron von Jenisch, the last German owner of Kalø Gods. The title deeds for the land state that a youth hostel must operate on the site. For this reason, Danhostel Rønde youth hostel can be traced back to around 1939. The youth hostel’s central building is the original building, dating from 1939. This cosy and atmospheric building is now very inviting following a thorough renovation and the introduction of new furnishings. Rønde youth hostel is now run in a modern fashion and offers a very high level of service.
