Liberty Column
15 meter tall Obelisque, erected in memory of the peasant reforms, June 20 1788. These reforms led to the abolition of the adscription. The four symbolic female figures on top of the column are made by different artists: 'Bravery' and 'Civic Virtue' By Nicolai Dajon, 'Fidelity' by Joh. Widewelt, and 'The Industrious Cultivation of Land' by Andreas Weidenhaupt. The reliefs 'The Abolition of Slavery' and 'Justice' were made by Wiedewelt and Weidenhaupt respectively. Totally renovated and reerrected in 2000
