The Stagsrode Forest & The Stenhøj Beach
The Staksrode forest
It is an interesting stretch of forest, with trees and plants gathered from many different countries, e.g. rare orchids.
The beach forest on clay feet" is the Danish nickname for Staksrode Forest, due to the large amount of clay on the slopes facing the sea.
Down by the shore at Staksevold there are also the remains of an old robber baron's castle from the 14th century.
The Stenhøj Beach
The beach itself is guite fascinating, with the toppled trees, the deep ravines, and the slopes. The area is suitable for in-shore angling.
