Leave Vejle along Gl. Jellingvej and cycle onward up Høgsholtvej, after which the route will take you past Fårup Lake. During the summer months, you can rent a rowboat at the lake - and replace your two-wheeled bike with a pedalo. The route goes northward along Fårup Lake and down towards Engelsholm Lake where the Vejle Å river has its source.
A little way off the route on the lake’s south-eastern edge is Engelsholm Castle with its distinctive onion domes, and from here there is a beautiful view to Nørup Church, which, as the former castle chapel, is also decorated with an onion-shaped dome.
On the way towards Åst Forest, you cross the Ancient Road and the route passes Billund Airport before coming to an end.
