The distance between petrol stations in Denmark is usually short and most of the international brands are represented. Most petrol stations have self-service pumps and opening hours daily from 06/07 a.m. to between 9 p.m. and midnight. Some stations are open around the clock, with automated payment facilities where payment can be made be in Danish kroner notes of DKK 50, DKK 100 and sometimes DKK 200 denomination. Important: only few of these display instructions in English, and whenever possible it is advisable to fill up the car during normal opening hours when the petrol stations are staffed.

The prices shown below are the official petrol prices, per litre, based on self-service. Note that it is often possible to obtain cheaper petrol due to local price competition.

Note that LPG is not widely used in Denmark and is therefore only available at a very limited number of petrol stations.

Petrol, diesel and other fuel in the tank of your car or boat can be imported freely. In a portable petrol carrier you may import a maximum of 10 litres.
