Self-catering holidays - food

Food in Denmark is very similar to that in the UK, and in shops and supermarkets you will find most of the food that you know from home.

Even so, there may be some items that you wish to bring with you from home. There are currently few restrictions on bringing food from the UK to Denmark, provided all the food is for private use and it is part of your holiday luggage.

Details can be found on the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration website

Restrictions may be imposed without notice and it is advisable to check the website shortly before your departures.

Any fresh foodstuffs should always be kept to a minimum as it is difficult to keep food chilled when travelling.
