MIND 2010 -
Meetings & Incentive Networking in Denmark 2010 – took place in the Danish capital on 27-28th September and based on the top marks(!) given by the International Meeting Planners, VisitDenmark and Wonderful Copenhagen are already planning a
second MIND Event on June 16-17th, 2011 where the experimental networking event will be developed even further!
Very creative, very innovative, very refreshing!

Most familiarization trips are characterised by endless presentations of hotels, meetings locations and conference halls, but at MIND participant involvement, training and experiences were on the top of
the agenda.
Based on the unique Danish
Meetovation concept, focus was on innovation and on achieving a high Return on Meeting Investment (RoMI) – and the concept seems to be paying off already.

Cynthia Howard of Horizon Resourcing Ltd. in the UK, said:
"The MIND event was highly enjoyable, informative and inspirational at the same time. It, definitely, opened my mind. It was very well organized, but what I was most impressed with was the way the whole team involved, VisitDenmark, Wonderful Copenhagen, CSI and ALL the partners etc. shared the same belief and enthusiasm in the MEETOVATION
programme. You showed us exactly how it can be done.
The way the programme encouraged participation was good as it kept us all on our toes, and did not allow our minds to wander. The different set ups for each session encouraged greater mixing of participants. ...I could bore you and go on, so will stop here. Well done, and once again THANK YOU!"
MIND is based on the unique,
Danish Meetovation concept's five principles and hence, the itinerary in the Danish capital included various innovative ways of approaching meetings and experiences.

After a session of creating their own “STOMP” music and trying out various “Energizing” techniques, the professional Meeting Planners were asked to create their own Danish smørrebrød (traditional Danish open sandwiches) by following a recipe placed in a picnic basket packed with all necessary ingredients. Lunch was then consumed at a large indoor picnic area, surrounded by trees and birdsong, and created in one of the city's larger venues,
Øksnehallen.

At another MIND session at the
Clarion Hotel Copenhagen, the participants were asked to creating a functional and innovative meetings space for a specific purpose themselves. The Clarion hotel is just one of over 100 Danish hotel and conference venues with in-house
“Meetovator”-educated staff available to assist with creating different and creative
meetings solutions for business clients specifially.

As a business tourism destination, Denmark offers great venues, high levels of service, easy accessibility, sustainable meetings solutions
and innovative brainstorming with potential business clients.
Anja Hartung Sfyrla, International Marketing Manager - Business Tourism at VisitDenmark, explains:
"What is unique about Denmark is our ability to create tangible results together with our local, regional and international clients by using the Return of Meetings Investment (RoMI) principles of our Meetovation concept. Over 100 Danish Hotel and Conference Venues in and outside Copenhagen are trained “Meetovators” and thus, experts in how to create innovative and engaging business events for business clients - the Danish way! The Danish business tourism industry also has a very sustainable profile these days - another one of the five cornerstones of Meetovation!"

A selection of journalists from international and Danish business tourism media also took part in M.I.N.D. 2010 to experience the event first hand.
