The Danish Swimming Federation’s open-water competition ‘Round Christiansborg’ is a unique opportunity to swim around Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen. The route is approximately 2,000 m long and takes you past some of Copenhagen’s stunning sights; the competition starts in Frederiksholms Kanal, taking you past the Black

Diamond, continuing along the waterfront, under Knippelsbro Bridge, past the Stock Exchange, Højbro Plads and Gammel Strand, and back to Frederiksholms Kanal. The competition takes place on Saturday 27th August 2011 at 11.00 am and anyone aged 15 years or older can participate. However, do not wait too long to sign up, as registrations will be dealt with on a first come, first serve basis. Registration as well as payment takes place online. The entry fee is DKK 350 and deadline for registering is 21st August 2011.
