The Killing….it is starting all over again, in Copenhagen…
This forthcoming Saturday, 19 November at 9pm, sees the return of popular Danish crime series ‘The Killing’ on BBC4. Detective Inspector Sarah Lund became a huge hit with the UK viewing public during the first series broadcast earlier this year.
So much so that Copenhagen based company ‘Peter and Ping’ now offers a dedicated walking tour based on the drama, taking visitors past Copenhagen sights featured in the series, while discussing the story line and its characters. The next walk sets off on 10 December at noon. If you prefer doing your own ‘in the footsteps of Detective Inspector Sarah Lund’, VisitCopenhagen provides a list of main film locations on their website. Locations include the City Hall where Troels Hartmann was giving his all to beat Mayor Bremer in the election, as well as other sights from the series.

Copenhagen right now, is thankfully not all gloom and doom as during ‘The Killing’. The city has just dressed up for Christmas with beautiful lights and Christmas decorations everywhere and tempting aromas of seasonal food and drink be enjoyed from the many cosy bars and restaurants in the city.
Why not discover ‘The Killing’ locations and at the same time have a pre-Christmas break in the coolest capital in Scandinavia?
