With beautiful lights, Christmas markets and decorations all over the city, the enchanting Christmas spirit has embraced Scandinavia’s coolest capital – Copenhagen!
While the city is buzzing with preparations for Christmas to the tunes of Christmas carols, Copenhagen’s most famous landmark – the Little Mermaid - has returned home safely after participating in the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. So on your walk around Copenhagen, make a stop at Langelinie waterfront, and welcome H.C. Andersen’s world famous Little Mermaid back home.

will witness one of the most exciting Christmas traditions in the capital. Each year, the Christmas tables are designed and decorated by leaders in design, art or often famous people including the Royal family.

This year designers include staff from the Royal Lifeguards and the Royal Library. The tables can be seen in Royal Copenhagen's flagship store at Amagertorv in the heart of the city and are on display until the end of the year. Before the decorations are taken down, they will be seen by about 300,000 people – will one of them be you?

One thing you will most certainly notice on your visit to Copenhagen, are all the Happy® Xmas Trees placed around in the city squares and streets. These unique and specially designed Christmas trees are handmade of fibre glass, sustainable and serve a good cause at the same time! This year, the traditional green Christmas trees are decorated by Danish and international artists and designers, companies, children and young people. Hereby, the trees become a beautiful mixture of a colourful Christmas spirit combined with an artistic statement about a sustainable world environment.
