36 gliding clubs with a total of approx. 1800 members have joined forces in 'Danish Svæveflyver Union' (Association of Danish Gliders) which owns the Gliding Centre Arnborg in Mid-Jutland. During the season, daily winch-launched or airplane towed glides, a number of activities, courses, conventions, championships and much more are arranged. Private gliders are accepted, but gliders and equipment can be rented from the centre as well, which also have cabins, and a camping site. Through the centre, contact can be made to other gliding clubs in Denmark. A valid national or international glider's certificate is required.

The flat lands of Denmark are highly suited for both hang gliding and
paragliding. The Danish Hang gliding & Paragliding Association
(commonly known as the DHPU) oversees pilot and instruction training
standards and is approved by The Danish Civil Aviation Administration.

If you as a foreigner wish to fly in Denmark we welcome you to our
beautiful countryside and invite you to fly on the many coastal flying
sites or one of the four towing fields. One of Scandinavia's largets
towing facilities is located near Brande in Jutland. Here you'll find
a towing field complete with camping area, bathrooms etc.

Further information about local flying sites or clubs can be obtained
by contacting the DHPU.

The Danish training standards are based on the SafePro / ParaPro
training standards. Foreigners can fly using their national licence
for a period of max. 30 days. Gliders cannot be rented in Denmark - so
please bring your own.

Parachute jumping can be practised several places in Denmark. A valid international certificate is required. Prior to departure, members should contact their own club for information on jump possibilities in Denmark. As a rule, equipment can be rented on the fields, but as prices are fixed by the individual clubs, no charge for equipment and jump can be quoted here.
