Water sports in Denmark

With plenty of water and wind Denmark is ideal for practising water sports

Water sports in Denmark

Denmark afloat
With more than 7,300 kilometres of coastline, 405 named islands, many navigable fjords and 600 lakes, rivers and watercourses, Denmark is the ideal destination for an active holiday in the blue element.

Canoes
A week or a couple of days in a canoe soothes the soul. Travel on calm water, follow the slight current downstream and then paddle for a change when crossing a lake.

Diving
Naturally, all that lovely water surrounding Denmark can be enjoyed from more than just the surface

Kayaks
Those preferring the kayak can happily venture away from the rivers and lakes into the fjords and inshore waters.

Kitesurfing
Kite surfing requires lots of space – but that’s not a problem in Denmark, where you can easily find a suitable beach.

Windsurfing
In Denmark you can windsurf, speedsurf and kitesurf until you’re all washed up!
