The Royal Family of Denmark
The royal family is very popular in Denmark and one of the highlights of 2012 was when The Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, celebrated her 40th Royal Jubilee as the nation’s monarch. On the Jubilee Day itself, 14 January, the royal family paraded through Copenhagen from the royal palace, Amalienborg, to the City Hall. The Royal Family traveled in state carriages escorted by the Royal Horse Guard.
If you are in Copenhagen a must see is the Changing of the Guards - a beautiful sight.
