A notice board in the porch says that the church "was officially opened Palm Sunday April 2nd, 1950 in this building, which was originally built as a boathouse for rescue services."
Lildstrand Church has no cemetery. The church's former boathouse (1883) for the lifeboat by Lildstrand (Lild Beach) and was consecrated as a church in 1950.
There are approximately 100 seats. The free-standing bell tower, with old bell from Lild Church, wa cast at Arent Kleiman in Lubeck 1674.
