My Roskilde - Karin recommends

Karin Sloth, Danish Mead Champion, recommends:
One of my favourites is Bolund, a beautiful peninsula, north of Risø, with the most wonderful scenery on the shores of the fjord. This is also where you will find the Bolund Stone. The legend tells that this stone was thrown by an evil witch in a failed attempt to hit the churches in Ågerup and Kirkerup (where you can find some of Denmark’s most beautiful murals).

It is also a great experience to continue along the coast till you reach the charming fishing hamlet of Jyllinge, where tiny old fishermen’s cottages and red sheds testify to the time when this was an active fishing village. And for an abrupt return to the present on your way back, you should make a detour to Trekroner, noted for sustainable architecture and lov-rise high-density housing.
