4. Nørreriis at Venø Klit Camp Site - Hiking along Venø’s coastline

Today this area is a camp site - Venø Klit Camping. The farm Nørreriis was the former house of Birtheline Sørensen, who made the islands moor area into a plantation. A memorial stone for the moor growth is places next to Venø Boarding School.

Nørreriis was also the holiday home for Elise Konstantin-Hansen, a known artist from the end of the 1800th who found many of her nature motives on Venø. Elise Konstantin-Hansen was the former priest’s sister.
