Author talk with Tor Nørretranders
The world needs a rebellion of the elderly. How can life experience, community and serenity help shape the society of the future? Join Tor Nørretranders at the library for a thought-provoking author talk on his latest book, "Alderdomsoprør".

How can the experience, vitality and perspective of old age become a resource for society as a whole?
Science communicator and debater Tor Nørretranders explores this question in his latest lecture, based on the book Alderdomsoprør.
Nørretranders argues that the world needs ‘good old people’ who can remember a time when there were more fish in the seas, greater diversity in nature and stronger communities. Their experiences and memories can be invaluable in an era characterised by climate change, artificial intelligence and rapid social change.
For old age is not just about those who are growing old. It is also about the world we leave behind for future generations. Drawing on Alderdomsoprør, Tor Nørretranders invites you to a thought-provoking evening exploring blindness to change, community, responsibility and the need for peace of mind.
Look forward to an inspiring event offering space for reflection, debate and new perspectives on what it means to grow older – and on the role older people can play in society.
Tor Nørretranders (b. 1955) is a non-fiction writer and has authored more than 30 books on subjects including natural sciences, the environment, war and peace, the future, creativity and the human condition. *Alderdomsoprør* was published to mark his 70th birthday.
