Beauty Hangs in the Trees

'Beauty Hangs in the Trees' is an exhibition presenting Lea Nielsen's view of nature from her time as an artist in residence at Hjorts Fabrik during spring 2026. For many years, Lea has drawn inspiration from Danish nature and the places she visits herself. It was therefore natural for her to explore the forests of Bornholm. During her stay, she took a slice of clay into nature every day and made an imprint of what she found interesting that day. The result is a physical logbook of her movements around the island – a ceramic almanac of spring on Bornholm. These walks also inspired her sculptures, which reveal the beauty found in every stage of life.
