Guitars with their own voice and story

At Bondo Guitars in Svaneke, guitars are handcrafted – one at a time. Here, Jakob Bondo Schultz works with classical, acoustic and electric instruments, where wood, sound and form are closely connected throughout the process.

The classical and acoustic guitars are built from carefully selected mastergrade tonewoods, while the electric guitars are given new life using wood from, among other sources, old Danish ships and buildings. This gives each instrument its own character – and its own story.

In addition to building new instruments, the workshop also works with repair and restoration of guitars and other string instruments. It is not only about creating something new, but also about preserving and extending the life of what already plays.
