Late Summer Festival - Fra det yderste Nord
An opening concert that takes us from the strange fables of the Middle Ages to Greenlandic song—with music that embodies nature, language, and memories.

The opening concert ranges from the offbeat satire of the Middle Ages to Greenlandic songs full of presence and depth.
Philippe de Vitry’s music for Roman de Fauvel tells the story of a donkey who becomes pope—presented in a colorful world featuring a narrator and string players.
This is followed by improvisations on Greenlandic melodies and motifs.
Finally, the concert opens up to Greenland with the Rasmus Lyberth Quartet in an intense format, where voice, piano, electric guitar, and violin convey nature, language, and memory.
