Campsite with a view of Genner Bay

Sønderballe Strand Camping is located in the lovely and protected Genner Bay with the idyllic Kalvø at the bottom of the bay and Barsø towards the Little Belt. There is always a wealth of small fishing boats and sailing boats in the bay, contributing to the scenic atmosphere with their white and fresh sails on the blue horizon. The camping ground itself is partly build unto terraces in the landscape, offering many of the spots a glorious view of the bay to wake up to.

At the bottom of the camp ground there is a small, child-friendly blue-flagged beach, and since the site has a small bath- and boatbridge at the beach, it is possible to bring your own smaller boat - whether it be a kayak, canoe or even just a small dinghy. In addition to this you will find two playground for the children with climbing towers, slides and swings, amongst other things.

On site there is a combined grill and kiosk where you can buy traditional fastfood, ice cream, candy and a smaller selection of kiosk-goods. It is open all weekends and holidays in the summer season, and the opening hours are always available on the door. In the reception you can buy fresh morning bread (bake-off) and a small selection of milk, cheese and other breakfast related items.

The beautiful area around the site provides ample opportunities for hiking, cycling, bathing, sailing, fishing or just relaxing. The ground is located only around 13 km away from the market towns Haderslev and Aabenraa, where you can dive into culture, shopping, cafés and museums or just explore the old parts of the towns with the narrow, cobble stoned streets. You can also make the 40 km trip south over the German border to visit Flensburg and perhaps do some shopping in the border shops.

The site is open to motorhomes all year round.
