Step Inside at ARoS

An experience for all the senses

In Step Inside, ARoS goes beyond traditional visual artworks. The selected artists are known for working with installation art that activates the senses – not just sight, but also hearing, smell and physical sensation. The audience is encouraged to move around, pause and let the works transform in interaction with thoughts and feelings.

This exhibition offers a different encounter with contemporary art: it is playful, experimental and often physical. It creates space for reflection, perception and conversation – both with the art and with ourselves.

Artists and themes

• Anicka Yi: She explores the relationship between biotechnology, the body and identity.
• Philippe Parreno: His works often involve light, movement and spatial transformations.
• Laure Prouvost: Characterised by dreamlike narratives that blend text, sound and spatiality.
• Pamela Rosenkranz: Works with physicality, technology and sensory experiences to question what it means to be human in a digitalised world.
