The Viking exhibition is aimed at both children and adults and can be visited every day during the library's opening hours until August 23rd.

At the exhibition, you can experience, among other things:

  • The impressive Viking ship with shields and a dragon-shaped prow.
  • Yggdrasil, the world tree, whose crown reaches all the way to the sky and houses the great eagle, while the dragon Nidhug gnaws at its roots.
  • The settlement, where you can try out various Viking crafts and see how a Viking family actually lived.
  • The workshop, where every Thursday throughout the summer you can make your own Viking sword or carve runes on pendants.
  • Stories from the Viking world every Wednesday at 11 AM (until July 29th), where the storyteller sits in Odin's chair, flanked by the ravens Hugin and Munin.
  • Viking clothing and artifacts kindly loaned by the Fyrkat Viking Museum.
  • And much, much more...
