The fine bathhouse was originally built in 1580 by Frederik 2. The building had a bathroom, kitchen and sleeping places. Here the King and his men could bathe and enjoy lunch after the day's hunt.
Today the bathhouse castle is used by the royal house for hunting lunches. The bathhouse castle is only open to the public on special occasions but can be enjoyed all year as a charming architectural element in the landscape of Frederiksborg Castle Garden.
