Route description

From Nexø you follow Regional Cycle Route 21 inland. Take a detour down to the ring fortress Rispebjerg, which served as a refuge for the Bornholm people in the Iron Age. Drive back to route 21 and then turn west towards Aakirkeby.

In Aakirkeby the biggest attraction for both children and adults is the NaturBornholm experience center. Here you can experience a history that stretches back millions of years to the time when the earth was lava and dinosaurs walked the earth.

You may also take a short hike along “Linjer i Landskabet” to Klintebakken Quarry, the petrified seabed, and the Læså River.
