Boldrup Museum
At Boldrup Museum, you can explore rural life from 100 years ago through historic buildings, animals, gardens and the surrounding nature of Simested Ådal.

Boldrup Museum – rural life 100 years ago
At Boldrup Museum, you step into the everyday life of a smallholder as it may have looked around 100 years ago. The home, workshop, stables and other buildings are furnished with a focus on the life, work and traditions of the time.
Here, history comes to life through the small farm, the cabbage garden and the ornamental garden, where old Danish plant varieties grow side by side with heritage livestock breeds such as sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, geese, hens, pigeons and bees.
You are welcome to bring your own packed lunch and enjoy it in the museum’s outdoor area – Boldrup Museum provides the coffee.
Nature school in Simested Ådal
At Boldrup Museum, you will also find Sydhimmerlands Naturskole. Here, the beautiful nature of Simested Ådal provides the setting for experiences and learning about the area’s animal and plant life.
Close to the museum, you will find woodland, a pond, meadowland, a fish farm and, of course, the Simested Å stream – ideal for exploring nature up close.
Experiences for children, adults and groups
Boldrup Museum is for visitors of all ages. Schools and other groups can book talks and guided tours throughout the year, as long as the visit is arranged well in advance.
During the year, selected activity weekends bring the museum to life with crafts, historical activities and living history.
