The Storå offers nearly 100 kilometres of navigable waterways. From Holstebro, you can plan both short day trips and longer excursions with overnight stays at the cosy canoe campsites along the way. Rest stops along the Storå

Along the route, you will find several rest stops where you can take a break, enjoy nature, or spend the night if you are planning a longer canoe trip.

Holstebro C/Kvickly is an ideal starting point with parking and shopping facilities nearby.
Frøjk (Birn) is a smaller rest stop, well-suited for a brief break along the way.
Naur is a canoe campsite with a toilet, drinking water, a campfire site, and overnight accommodation options.
Bur Bro is a popular canoe campsite with a toilet, drinking water, a campfire site, and overnight accommodation options.
Vemb is the final rest stop on the route before the Storå flows into Nissum Fjord. Here you will find a toilet, drinking water, a campfire site, and overnight accommodation options.

Good to know

Canoeing on the Storå is permitted from 1 June to 31 October, and navigation is allowed daily between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
We recommend that everyone wears a life jacket throughout the entire trip and shows consideration for nature, wildlife, and other visitors. Please take your rubbish home with you and help protect the unique natural areas along the Storå.
