Christmas tree and Christmas lights switched on in Kerteminde
13 November 2026, 4–7 pm
The Christmas festivities begin at 4 pm, when you can buy mulled wine, Danish Christmas pancakes and other Christmas treats on the Town Square in Kerteminde. At 6 pm, the large Christmas tree will be lit.
Christmas and festive tables exhibition at Johannes Larsen Museum
14 November 2026 – 6 January 2027
The exhibition opens on 14 November at 2 pm. It brings together the museum's own team and invited guest exhibitors from near and far, each contributing personal tables and stories – offering visitors a sensory and atmospheric encounter with celebrations and togetherness.
Christmas tree lighting and Santa's visit to Langeskov
20 November 2026 at 5 pm
The Christmas season gets underway at Langeskov Centre with the traditional Christmas tree lighting. There will be Christmas music and festive Christmas atmosphere, and children can look forward to a goodie bag.
Christmas market at Viby Gamle Brugs
21–22 November 2026, 10 am–4 pm
Viby Gamle Brugs invites you to a Christmas market featuring local food and flavours, handmade products, arts and crafts, Christmas decorations and other Christmas ideas.
There will also be coffee, mulled wine and homemade waffles. Admission is free.
Christmas crafts at Kerteminde Library
21 November 2026, 10 am–12.30 pm
As is tradition, Kerteminde Library invites children and adults to a festive Christmas craft session, where you can make decorations and small gifts.

Christmas tree lighting and Santa's visit to Munkebo
27 November 2026, 4.30–6 pm
On Friday 27 November at 4.30 pm, Santa arrives by boat at Munkebo Harbour. Afterwards, everyone walks together to the town's Christmas tree, which is lit at 5 pm.
Look forward to Christmas carols, dancing around the Christmas tree, goodie bags for the children, and mulled wine and Danish Christmas pancakes for the adults.

28 November 2026, 10 am–12.30 pm
As is tradition, Munkebo Library invites you to a Christmas craft session. Get into the Christmas spirit with the family while making decorations and small gifts.
Christmas market at Nybro Fruit Plantation
28–29 November 2026, 10 am–4 pm
The Christmas market at Nybro Fruit Plantation is a cosy Christmas market with a focus on personal atmosphere and quality. The market offers delicious samples of local produce and a treasure hunt for children. You can also browse Christmas decorations and Christmas trees, handmade bags and jewellery, beautiful home décor and local ceramics.
Admission is free.

Join us for a magical Christmas day at Kerteminde Marina! Bring the family for a day filled with Christmas spirit, an elf treasure hunt, delicious food, hot drinks and cosy activities for both children and adults.

Christmas concert at Johannes Larsen Museum – Nordic Christmas
1 December 2026 at 7 pm
Helene Blum and Harald Haugaard celebrate the 20th anniversary of their popular Nordic Christmas with a concert at Johannes Larsen Museum. The concert ticket also gives access to the museum throughout the day. Kaffehuset is open from 4–6 pm, with the option to purchase a Christmas meal.

Christmas concert at St. Laurentius Church in Kerteminde: George Frideric Handel's Messiah
4 December 2026 at 7 pm
Let the peace of Christmas settle in and get into the Christmas spirit at one of this year's two Christmas concerts, where Odense Baroque Orchestra and Baroque Choir perform Handel's Messiah. Performers: Odense Baroque Orchestra and Baroque Choir, concertmaster Tinne Albrectsen, musical direction by Babett Hartmann.
Jazzy Christmas Concert at Lundsgaard Manor
5 December at 8 pm and 6 December at 4 pm
Vini Iuel and her band perform American Christmas classics in Anexet at Lundsgaard Manor.

Christmas show: The Great Elf Test at Munkebo Library
5 December 2026, 10–10.40 am
The elves Nis and Nissesisse are taking the great elf test, where they must prove that they deserve to keep their red elf hats. A humorous Christmas show with singing and music for children aged 4 and over. Free admission, but registration is required.
Christmas concert with Maria Lucia at Rynkeby Church
8 December 2026 at 7 pm
Maria Lucia gives a Christmas concert at Rynkeby Church featuring classic Christmas songs, ballads and new Christmas favourites. She is accompanied by pianist and bandleader Morten Vestergaard. Ticket price: DKK 250.
Let's sing Christmas in at Købmandsgaarden
8 December 2026, 6–9 pm
Sing Christmas carols together with Susanne Gammelgaard and Poul Balle. The evening begins with Christmas food and continues with coffee, biscuits and communal singing.

In 2026, the Christmas market in Kerteminde will be linked to TV 2's Christmas series I Nissernes Tjeneste, which features Kerteminde as a central filming location.

Film at Kerteminde Kino: The Nutcracker by New York City Ballet
14 December 2026 at 6.30 pm
Get into the Christmas spirit at Kerteminde Kino with the ballet The Nutcracker. Tickets must be paid for when booking. The price includes a sandwich during the interval. Price: DKK 150. The deadline for registration is Thursday 10 December.
Christmas concert with Søren Okholm
20 December 2026, 7–9 pm at Købmandsgaarden Kerteminde
As tradition dictates, Købmandsgaarden welcomes you to an atmospheric Christmas concert. With his warm voice, presence and beautiful interpretations of Christmas songs, Søren Okholm creates a very special atmosphere.
