Day trip in Mols Bjerge National Park on the Kulturringen cycle route

On this day trip by bike, you'll get to know the hilly Ice Age landscape of Mols Bjerge National Park in Djursland. You'll cycle through cosy villages and past top cultural and historical attractions.

Mols Bjerge National Park is one of Denmark's five national parks. Wild horses and cattle graze the area's open pastures, and Mols Bjerge is home to a large number of rare plant and animal species.

Magnificent nature, historic top attractions and breathtaking views

On the bike ride, you'll be enriched with views of the Ice Age landscape and the area's coves and bays. The altitude will challenge you, as the route is hilly: You'll cycle past Vistoft Church, one of the highest churches in Denmark, and you can climb Agri Bavnehøj, which at 137 metres is the highest point in Djursland.

For those interested in history, Denmark's largest stone house, Poskær Stenhus, and the 700-year-old Kalø Castle ruins are two highlights of the bike ride.

In Femmøller Strand you'll find old half-timbered houses and the area's most popular beach.

Gastronomy on the route

Are you hungry for something to eat? Then stop at Molskroen, known as an exclusive eatery - and for the building's beautiful location and stunning architecture.

As this is a round trip, you can start your bike ride anywhere on the route. The route is hilly.
