Despite its modest size, Thurø has a magnificent maritime history and has also been a cherished home for several renowned, danish authors, including Karin Michaëlis and Tom Kristensen.
At the marina, you will find bathing/toilet facilities, and there are good shopping opportunities in Thurø By, approximately 1 km from the marina, including Thurø Bakery and SPAR. Dining options include Thurøstuen and Hindenburg Pizzeria.
