Gamma NV

In Copenhagen’s trendy Nordvest district, you’ll find an equally trendy beer bar called Gamma NV. More precisely, Gamma NV is located in Nordvest’s “bird quarter,” where all the streets are named after birds. The bar stems from the Danish brewery Gamma Brewing Co, which produces delicious, quality-focused craft beers in Herlev. The brewery was founded in 2015 by five friends who had gained extensive knowledge of Copenhagen’s craft beer scene through their work as bartenders. What began as a hobby project has grown significantly over the years, and in 2024, they also opened the bar on Nørrebro.

When you step inside Gamma NV, you’re greeted by an industrial-inspired space with concrete floors and walls, a tall concrete bar, and tables with seating arranged in a way that gives the place a canteen-like feel. The raw surroundings are balanced by warm wooden details that add coziness and contrast. Outside, long communal tables invite you to sit and enjoy your beer in the sun. Behind the tall bar, Gamma NV has no fewer than 25 taps, mainly serving fresh beers from their own brewery in Herlev, supplemented by a small selection of alcohol-free beers and other non-alcoholic options. In addition to beer, you can also enjoy proper comfort food from Rays Chicken, which serves food directly on-site.
