Grynderup Church
Grynderup Church is a Romanesque village church from the 12th century, built from granite as was typical of Danish village churches of the period. Inside, you can see preserved medieval details and historic furnishings from the 17th century.

Grynderup Church dates back to the 12th century and is built from granite blocks in the Romanesque style, typical of Danish village churches from this period.
Several of the church’s original details have been preserved. These include the chancel arch, the north window of the chancel with its beautifully profiled lintel, and a north window in the nave. The other windows are in Neo-Romanesque style.
Inside the church, you will find a Lutheran winged altarpiece from the 17th century. The pulpit is a Renaissance work from the same period and stands on the remains of a medieval Catholic side altar.
The baptismal dish is of Dutch origin and also dates from the 17th century. The altar candlesticks are made of bell metal and date from 1642, while the chalice is from 1685.
