Hørby Harbour
Hørby Harbour on Tuse Næs is one of the Isefjord's last active fishing harbours – with fresh fish from the cutter, guest berths for sailors and an authentic atmosphere far from the big marinas.

Hørby Harbour – the hidden gem on Tuse Næs
Hørby Harbour is one of those places you don't stumble upon by accident. It sits discreetly on the west side of Tuse Næs, the flat peninsula that juts into the Isefjord north of Holbæk, and it has preserved an atmosphere that larger harbours lost long ago. Here you still find freshly caught fish straight from the boat, a couple of benches with fjord views, and a calm that makes it hard to believe you're less than an hour's drive from Copenhagen.
A working harbour with soul
Hørby is first and foremost a fishing harbour – one of the last in the Isefjord where commercial fishing is still active. The fishing boats tie up at the pier, and when the catch is good, you can buy directly from the gunwale. It is the opposite of supermarket fish – here you know that the cod, plaice or herring was in the water just hours ago.
For sailors, Hørby is a quiet alternative to Holbæk Harbour. Guest berths are available, and the limited size is precisely the charm. You moor up, stretch your legs on the pier and enjoy the view across the western Isefjord shore – with Orø as a silhouette to the north.
Tuse Næs – the landscape behind the harbour
Tuse Næs is one of West Zealand's best-kept secrets. The peninsula features rolling fields, small villages and a coastline offering both sandy beaches and rocky reefs. The area is popular with cyclists and walkers who enjoy the quiet roads free of heavy traffic and the constant glimpses of the fjord from the hilltops.
