The stretch of coast around Hvalpsund is located where the fjord becomes narrower, inbetween Risgårde Broad and Skive Fjord and Louns Broad, and that is why you can catch all the fish which are migrating to Karup, Simested, Skals Streams and others.

At the entire stretch of 4 kilometres, there is plenty of great grounds with mussels, eelgrass and small reefs, and it is worth is to concentrate the angling in the areas with the biggest variation.
