Jonah Blacksmith - Film Concert

Experience Jonah Blacksmith’s Film Concert at Blue Water Dokken in Esbjerg on February 20, 2027. The seven-piece band from Thy, led by brothers Simon and Thomas Alstrup, combines documentary film and live instrumental performances on an arena scale.

Film and live music about people, roots, and dreams

The Film Concert alternates between a documentary about people, roots, and dreams and a live concert, with the songs and their origins unfolding on the large screen behind the band. Following two sold-out Film Concerts at Jyske Bank Boxen and Royal Arena in 2025, Jonah Blacksmith has revisited the film, created new scenes, and written new music.

The story centers on family, community, togetherness, and the joy of playing music together. For the brothers, the project is a labor of love and an opportunity to share both what has shaped them and their fear of losing each other and their sense of who they are.
