Christmas Market at Kragerup Manor

Kragerup Manor lies in the West Zealand countryside near Ruds Vedby, and in the run-up to Christmas the estate hosts one of the largest Christmas markets in the area. Courtyards, stables and historic rooms fill with more than 120 stalls, and the air smells of roasted almonds, mulled wine and warm æbleskiver. Gifts, decorations and treats

The stalls offer crafts, Christmas decorations, gifts and delicacies, making it easy to find this year's presents in one place. The estate also sells speciality beer, chestnut liqueur, roasted almonds and game and vegetables from its own woods and fields. Coffee and kringle pastry made from an old family recipe are served in the historic rooms, and the pancake tent keeps you warm with pancakes, æbleskiver and mulled wine.

Christmas fun for children

Children can bake pancakes, toast marshmallows over the fire and decorate their own Christmas bauble. Christmas elves drop by, and Father Christmas and the Slagelse Nissegarde also pay a visit. Kragerup's large Go Bounce inflatable park is free to use during the market.

Christmas at Restaurant Blixen

If you would rather sit down to eat, the estate's Restaurant Blixen serves a Christmas plate. Seating is limited, so booking a table in advance is a good idea.

Practical information

There is an admission charge, and tickets can be bought in advance on Kragerup's website. Parking is included in the ticket. Dress warmly, as much of the market is outdoors. Kragerup Manor also offers accommodation, so the market can be combined with a stay on the estate.
