The Monastery of Saint Bridget

Immediately when you arrive in the town of Maribo, you will notice the holy St.Bridget on the town signpost.

Actually Maribo is the name of the convent of St.Bridget - Habitaculum Mariæ - which the town grew up during the 14. Century.

The Sisters have returned to the town, and the new convent is also called "Habitaculum Mariæ", which means the home of Maria. It is situated only 10 minutes on foot from the ruins of the old convent and the original church - now Maribo cathedral.

The convent is situated directly by Maribo SønderLake with the possibility of walking in the nature.

The Bridgettine Sisters receive individual guests and smaller groups in their guesthouse. You are allowed to join their Mass and enjoy the stillness.

The convent has a conference room for 30-35 people, a living room, a library and a television room.

All rooms have bathrooms. No TV.

Breakfast, half or full board are available.

NB: NO SMOKING

Booking:  call the convent from 9.00 am to 11.30 am or from 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm
