Naturama is the natural history museum of the Region of Southern Denmark, centrally located in Svendborg. Modern exhibitions connect knowledge, aesthetics and experience, revealing nature’s diversity and complexity.

A sensory approach to natural history

The exhibitions are designed as immersive experiences using light, sound and film. Highlights include giant whale skeletons, Denmark’s largest egg collection, and Nordic and Arctic animals such as birds, wolves, polar bears and wild boar. Nearby nature takes centre stage in exhibitions on biodiversity, exploring the interaction between plants, animals and humans.

Naturama offers experiences for both children and adults, with opportunities for immersion, play and learning. The museum features a café, terraces and spacious areas to relax, while guides bring natural history to life through stories and activities that change throughout the year.

Always check today’s programme on Naturama’s website.
