Nordlangeland is home to Orangeriet in Snøde - a green meeting point created for community and enjoyment of nature. The centre invites locals and visitors to meet for nature activities and social events all year round.
A place for experiences and creativity
The Orangery offers a wide range of activities where nature plays the leading role. Take part in communal dinners where the menu consists of ingredients gathered from the local area, or try your hand at honey extraction and making must from fruit from the surrounding beds and trees. For the active, the area offers petanque courts, table tennis and a fire pit for cosy evenings.
Sustainability and biodiversity
The orangery is built with recycled materials, such as recycled bricks, and the surrounding area is designed to promote biodiversity. Here you'll find a wealth of fruit trees, shrubs and herbaceous beds that provide life for insects, birds and plants.
A meeting place for everyone
The Orangery is open to both locals and visitors seeking an oasis for relaxation, contemplation and community. Whether you come to participate in an activity or simply enjoy the tranquillity of nature, you are always welcome in Snøde.
The orangery opened in 2024 and was built with support from Nordea Fonden, LOA, LAG and local associations, among others.
