Smedjen in Tejn – Taste, atmosphere and strong experiences at the harbor

In the middle of Tejn Harbor you will find Smedjen – a lively gathering place, where Bornholm taste experiences and musical events go hand in hand in raw, cozy settings both indoors and outdoors. Here, the focus is on local ingredients, a good atmosphere and experiences that bring together both the island's guests and locals.

On the food front, you can look forward to a delicious barbecue buffet based on Bornholm specialties. If you prefer street food, Smedjen's carts offer everything from crispy Fish'n'Chips with home-made tartar sauce to fresh poké bowls, chili con/sin carne and juicy burgers made with local Wagyu meat. The meat comes from cattle that are fed mash from a Bornholm microbrewery – and of course the brewery's beer can be enjoyed with the meal.

Throughout the year, Smedjen forms the setting for a wide range of events. During the Easter holidays, the atmospheric Easter market is held, where stalls, delicacies and crafts fill the harbor, followed by a floating festival with a focus on tastings of beer and spirits from local producers.

The summer is all about music with a diverse concert program. Here you can experience everything from upcoming singer-songwriters and electronic tunes to pop, rock and nostalgic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Blues, tribute shows and beloved Danish tunes are also regular ingredients when the evenings at the harbor are filled with life and dancing under the open sky.

One of the absolute highlights of the summer is the popular Diller Bingo Show – a festive and sold-out mix of bingo, comedy, show and music, which year after year brings together an enthusiastic audience.

When the December darkness descends, Smedjen transforms into an atmospheric Christmas universe with one of the island's most visited Christmas markets the first two weekends in December – filled with lights, stalls and a real Christmas spirit.
