Svanemøllen
Svanemøllen (Swan Mill) is the only preserved one of the three windmills that existed on Møllebakken in Kerteminde in the 17th-18th centuries
On the Møllebakken next to the Johannes Larsen Museum towers Svanemøllen that functions as a symbol of Kerteminde. It has its name after the weather cock - a beautiful swan situated on the top of the mill.
The mill was built in 1853 and was - in the possession of the artist Johannes Larsen - working until the nineteen fifties. During the latest years the mill has undergone a thorough restoration that has made it functional again.
