A place your kids won’t want to leave

Looking for a fun and imaginative activity for the kids? Ville Vau is the perfect spot. This whimsical world is inspired by H.C. Andersen’s life and tales – and it’s designed for children to touch, explore and play freely in every corner.

Step into a living fairytale

There are so many little worlds to explore. In the palace, kids can dress up as the royal jester, hop into the carriage or march off to “a land far, far away” with a soldier’s rifle. In the witch’s cave, they can mix potions and practice spells. And in the little town, the post office, bakery and barber shop offer endless possibilities for role play and make-believe.

Let creativity flourish in the Atelier

Got a little artist at home? The Atelier is all about creativity. Kids can paint, craft and cut to their heart’s content – inspired by H.C. Andersen’s own playful imagination. During holidays and weekends, everything’s ready for spontaneous artistic fun.

A lake and a reed nest

At the heart of Ville Vau is a small lake where kids can cast a fishing line and let their minds wander. Nearby, a cosy reed nest invites quiet moments – especially when dressed as a swan. It’s a space where imagination leads the way, and that’s a beautiful thing.

Ville Vau is part of the H.C. Andersen’s House museum, and your ticket includes entry to both. Don’t forget to book in advance.
