Forester’s Spruce Cycle Route

The Forester’s Spruce Cycle Route is a scenic and varied cycling route starting and ending at RebildPorten. The route is 21.1 km long and mainly follows cycle-friendly gravel roads through forest, hills and open landscapes.

Along the way, you pass through Stendalen, with forest on one side and heather-covered hills on the other. You will also pass Stendalshytten, a scout hut in the area. From Stendalen, the route continues towards Mørkeskov and Urskoven before reaching Store Økssø.

At Store Økssø, there is a good opportunity to take a break and enjoy your packed lunch – perhaps combined with a refreshing swim in the lake. From here, the route continues under the railway towards Jamborettepladsen and on to Forester’s Spruce, one of the great giants of the forest and the destination of the route.

After visiting Forester’s Spruce, the route leads back towards RebildPorten.

Start your trip at RebildPorten and cycle east across the grass towards Stendalsvej. Then turn right. The route can, of course, be cycled in both directions.
