Overnight stay and use

Børnehaven Nydningens shelter site offers a simple, nature-based overnight stay in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Uggeløse Forest, near Slangerup. The site is suitable for small groups seeking a quiet night close to nature.

The shelter site consists of two connected shelters facing each other, with a roofed area in between. There is space for up to four people staying overnight.

The shelters may only be used outside the kindergarten’s opening hours, which are weekdays from 6.30 am to 5.00 pm. Overnight stays are permitted as long as these opening hours are respected. The shelters cannot be booked in advance and are used on a first come, first served basis.

Facilities and use of the shelter site

• The site includes a fire shelter that may be used during your stay. Firewood must be brought by visitors.
• There are no toilet facilities. Any necessary toilet visits must take place in the forest, following the Danish Nature Agency’s guidelines.
• Please remember to extinguish fires, take all waste with you, and show consideration for nature, the children who use the area during the day, and nearby neighbours.

Access and parking

Parking is available on Slangerupvej (main road 207) at the turn-off to Engledsvej.
From here, it is approximately a 1.5 km walk along a pleasant gravel road to the shelter site. Parking on the kindergarten’s premises is not permitted.
