A wind adventure from the 1970s

Just south of Ebeltoft, near the coast, stand four mid-sized wind turbines – the last remaining of a larger wind farm originally built during the energy crisis of the 1970s. At that time, 16 turbines were erected here, forming a pioneering project in local green energy long before it became mainstream.

These wind turbines were among the very first of their type in Denmark and represent a key chapter in the history of Danish renewable energy. The initiative was driven by local pioneers and energy enthusiasts who sought to demonstrate what sustainable energy production could look like in practice.
