Shrovetide Fun and Creative Crafts at Ærøpigen

On Shrove Monday, the streets of Marstal come alive as Ærø's traditional rendemasker (masked revellers) make their way through the town. At Ærøpigen, the doors are open to both the masked visitors and craft enthusiasts looking for a cosy evening of handicrafts and good company.

Bring along your knitting, crochet or embroidery project for an evening where Danish hygge and local traditions go hand in hand. Dorte will be serving coffee and cake, with plenty of time for crafting and friendly conversations.

During the evening, you'll also have the chance to meet the imaginatively dressed rendemasker as they wander through the streets of Marstal. Look forward to experiencing one of Ærø's most distinctive Shrovetide traditions up close when the masked figures stop by.
